Test expressions with your browser’s JavaScript regular-expression engine. Enter a pattern, flags and sample text to inspect matches and syntax errors immediately.
How to use it
- Enter only the pattern body, such as \d+, without surrounding slashes.
- Set flags: g finds all matches and i ignores case.
- Paste sample text and inspect the match list or error.
Example
The pattern \d+ with g finds 12 and 3 in “Order 12, quantity 3.”
What to know
Results follow JavaScript RegExp behavior, which differs from Python or PCRE in some cases. Without g, you generally see only the first match.
Common question
Why is only one match shown?
Check whether the flags field contains g. Global matching returns all non-overlapping matches.
