Practical guide
Convert an image to a format accepted by your destination. JPG is useful for photographs; PNG and WebP can retain transparency. HEIC is supported as input: it is decoded locally before the browser exports a new image through Canvas.
How to use it
- Choose a JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC file.
- Select JPG, PNG or WebP as output and set a maximum width if needed.
- Process the image, check the preview and download the converted file.
Example
When a website rejects a phone photo in HEIC format, open it here and export JPG. For a graphic with a transparent background, prefer PNG or WebP.
What to know
HEIC export is unavailable. JPG removes transparency, and re-encoding through Canvas may discard EXIF data, capture time and other metadata.
Common question
Can this tool convert a JPG back into HEIC?
No. This browser-based converter currently exports only JPG, PNG and WebP.
